The Sumerians

Escape of Tammuz

Chapter 39: Perseverance
The fulfillment of Hope does not require human permission.
Fact
Fiction
Sumerian Golden Lyre
Found buried in a pit where 74 people had committed mass, ritual suicide, the Sumerian Golden Lyre is the earliest known string instrument, predating Stone Henge and the Great Pyramid.

This and other instuments of ancient mesopotamia have proven that the earliest known music emobidied some of the most sophisticated music in Earth's history. Many complex, mathematical tuning modes have been found, and efforts are still underway to translate Sumerian tablets which appear to describe the various tuning systems in use and also (as yet undeciphered) utilize pictorial cuneiform for transcription.

Death Cults
One such ritual was held by the Sisters of Lilith, who choose to honor their Queen by following her into Erset la Tari.

Shem hears of this and returns to UR--confident that Inanna is dead.
